I'm always a bit envious of extreme macros because I haven't managed to capture one yet. What lens did you use for this?
07/03/06 @936
kierjuno: I used only the S2 IS camera super macro mode.
I'm glad you like it

Keep shooting.

The super macro mode is taken very close to the subject and you did well using it. Too bad the focus was not perfect on the eyes but it is a difficult shot to get perfect. Did you use manual or autofocus?
Overall a good macro.

thanks for the kind words to you all.
Gary, I used the AF because was a really hot day and the bees were so restless and I wouldn't had the time to use MF. I think it would have been better with MF, but... that's it .....
Zanzibar it's the king of the macros I think.

Macros like these are always impressive, no matter how alike they look. I can see you had extra care with this particular one, the focus is very sharp and accurate, altough I can almost surely say that you cropped it a little.
You did a manual post-processing sharpening process, right? I can see it in the head of the "monster", but I don't think it turned out well. The image itself already contains a bit of noise, and the strange vignetting in the middle of the little guys's head doesn't help much either. But of course I can always be wrong
Overall, I'm impressed. Keep making that odd microworld into a macroworld so the rest of the world can see it properly. Thumbs up!

Very detailed and impressive macro. It's a little soft in places and a tad over-exposed, but impressive nontheless.
